Welcome to standard time

Good morning, neighbors. November begins with a small reset: daylight saving time ended at 2 a.m. today, when clocks returned to 1 a.m. California is now on Pacific Standard Time.

Your connected devices may have made the adjustment for you. It’s worth checking the microwave, car clock, and any other clocks you set by hand before heading to a Sunday plan.

As routines settle into the new time, this is a nice morning to leave a little breathing room: a leisurely breakfast, a call to a neighbor, or time to look ahead at the week.

For anyone planning an in-person vote, Orange County’s official schedule lists all vote centers open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and Monday, November 2. Tuesday’s Election Day hours are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Use the county’s location page to check your destination.
